Bowen Satisfied with Top-10 at Hickory Motor Speedway
Records Best Finish at Famous Short Track

Anderson Bowen feels that his 2015 season is turning around for the better after his seventh-place run in the CARS Super Late Model Tour 125 this past Saturday night at Hickory Motor Speedway in Hickory, North Carolina.

The 17-year-old from Suwanee, Georgia recorded his best finish in three starts at the famous 3/8-mile oval.

“We had a good qualifying run and had a decent car that was able to hang around in the top-10 for the last 100 laps,” recalled Bowen.  “The car wasn’t that great on long runs, but we were able to run on the top side in the corners and hold on for a nice finish.”

It was Bowen’s second top-10 finish in his two starts with the CARS Super Late Model Tour.

“It feels good to get a top-10 finish at Hickory,” exclaimed Bowen.  “Especially when they have a nice field of cars for their events.  Some of the best drivers are competing in the series and it was some good racing.”

Bowen also had a strong qualifying run, as he was second quick, missing the fast qualifier award by 0.003 seconds.

Bowen and his team are now getting ready for the Gulf Coast weekend in the Southern Super Series.  They will race at Five Flags Speedway (FL) on Friday, May 22 and Mobile International Speedway (AL) on Saturday, May 23.
