Bowen Learns a Lot in SSS Finale at Five Flags
Bowen Finished 11th in Final Five Flags Race Before Snowball Derby

The Southern Super Series presented by Sunoco season finale at Florida's Five Flags Speedway didn't exactly go as Anderson Bowen would have hoped.  Bowen started 15th and finished 11th, but there were certainly some positives that could be taken away from Saturday night's 150-lap event.

The Suwanee, Georgia native and his team learned a lot about where to go on car setup for the Snowball Derby in December.  They also learned that even though Saturday night was the last race at Five Flags before the Derby, they will definitely be turning quite a bit of laps at the famous race track before race day.

"For the Derby we have to come back and practice," said Bowen.  "We just aren't where we want to be yet.  A lot of testing needs to be done.  We are close, but we need to find something that gives us a good feel in what we need."

But before Bowen can turn all his attention to the Snowball Derby, he first has to focus on the Winchester 400 in two weeks.

"Winchester is my favorite track and I really want that Winchester rifle," Bowen said.  "It's just a neat track to go to. It's so fast and so high banked. We run really well there too.  It's just neat to say that I've run on the fastest half mile track in America."
